About Our Materials

We use “Bishu Wool” from Aichi Prefecture. Bishu Wool is wool fabric produced in the Bishu region of Aichi Prefecture. In this area, the Kiso River, a clean river, provides a natural blessing that allows for the production of very high quality wool. It has long been known as the largest woolen textile production area in Japan, and is said to account for about 70% of domestic production. Along with Biella in Italy and Huddersfieldin England, Bishu is one of the world’s three largest wool producing regions.

About Wool

There are eight characteristics and benefits of wool, which makes a very gentle material for your beloved dog.
It is also a versatile recycled material.

    Raw wool, a 100% natural fiber, is sourced from sheep that live in harmony with nature, and can be produced all year round. When discarded, it is decomposed into water and CO2 by the action of microorganisms in the soil.

    Due to the fiber’s structure, it has the property of returning to its original shape even after being folded. This is why wool garments are less prone to wrinkling.

    Wool is naturally fire resistant. Cotton ignites at 255°C, but wool does not ignite until it reaches 570-600°C. Wool also does not melt or stick to the skin.

About Our Design "Tsurushi-bina"

Our design is based on the decoration of “Tsurushi-bina” (translates as “hanging dolls”), which is one of the decorations of“Hina-matsuri” (Doll Festival), a traditional festival also known for Girls’ Day in Japan. The origin of “Tsurushi-bina” dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867), when girls were born and decorated the dolls on their first DollFestival to pray for their healthy growth and good luck in the future. This design is filled with our wish for the healthy growth of your beloved dogs.

About Our Pattern

  • "Mari"

    These are colorfully decorated balls made fromembroidery. They are displayed as a goodluck talisman during the new years in Japan, and are a symbol of the wish for alively, harmonious, happy and contented life with your beloved dogs.

  • "Ume"

    Pine, bamboo and plum(="Ume") have been traditionally recognized as symbols of good luck in Japan. Plum flowers are considered auspicious flowers that is indispensable for celebrations all year round inJapan because they grow strongly even in the cold winter months.

  • "Sakura"

    Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms trees are said to celebrate not only the beginning of spring, but beginning of new things, wishes for its perpetuation, and praise honor. It is believed to nurture a beautiful and gentle heart from its appearance and fragrance.

About Embroidery

The design is inspired by "Tsurushi Bina", which is one of the decorations of "Hina Matsuri" (Doll Festival), a traditional festival also known for Girls' Day in Japan.

The large, colorfully decorated ball represents "Mari", a good luck talisman displayed during the new years in Japan. It symbolizes the wish for a lively, harmonious, happy and contented life with your beloved dogs.

The design is embroidered, and is of the same high quality as the embroidery used on kimonos.
